The Potty Picture

I know there are pictures of Sara and I when we were little girls just like this one; as we were learning to use the potty too! Magnolia frequently asks to go potty in the toilet now even when she's wearing a diaper. She'll also tell me occasionally "No underwear Mommy! I poop in my diaper!" So really, it just depends on the day, but I'm still letting her lead the process, and she's still having a lot of fun with it!

"Checkin' out books!"

I love writing posts about the little things that stick with me as I watch my daughter learn and grow each day. Today we headed to the library to check out some new books. Maggie marched right to the children's section, grabbed a chair, and started digging though the books. The whole time she's going through books, she's shouting "At library, checkin out boooooks!" I hope she wasn't too terribly distracting to everyone at the library, but mostly I think everyone there (book lovers as well) were just filled with a little joy watching such a young child demonstrate so much enthusiasm over checking out a library book.

As we hopped back into the car she told me that she NEEDED the Wheels on the Bus book we just checked out to read on the way home. She sat in the back seat "reading" her book all the way home (and this is the second time we've checked out this book!).

The 2nd Birthday Party

Delicious!

Opening gifts!

"I'm TWO!"

Water play is required at outdoor July birthday parties!

Grandma Crist and her littles.

Issac and Maggie opening their party favor bags.

Enjoying the birthday cupcake.

Not so sure about blowing out those candles.

The Cousins---Issac and Sage.

The yummies! Daddy made delicious chicken kabobs and Grandma Crist prepared some sweet pink cupcakes.

What's a party without a scraped knee?

We opted for a quaint little family birthday at home this year.
Thanks so much to our wonderful family for joining us at Magnolia's birthday party, and for celebrating two years of such an amazing little gal!

Happy 2nd Birthday Magnolia!

Magnolia had the BEST 2nd birthday ever! When she woke up this morning Daddy, Boston and I headed into her room to sing her Happy Birthday. I took some time off today so I could take in a little birthday snack to her and her friends at school. Sara joined me, and we took in Maggie's favorite---TCBY and strawberries!

Maggie, a few of her friends, and Aunt Sara (Sage too) enjoying some frozen yogurt and strawberries!

Baby cousin seemed to be a bigger hit then the frozen yogurt!

Hiding from Mommy because she doesn't want to go home yet---this is typical though!
And yes, she is purple---this seems to be her color of choice for painting her body.

She finally decided she could say goodbye to her friends and head home with Mommy, with reservations though.

Looking at her "Happy Birthday" message from Mommy. She looked at it for awhile, and then told me that "birthday" has Boston's B.

"Happy Birthday to MAGGIE!"...

My Trip to Ponderosa State Park

Daddy and I joined Mommy in McCall for a little vacation since she had some work to do there. We camped at Ponderosa State Park, and we all had so much fun! Daddy and I hung out on Friday while Mommy worked---we hiked, we played, we spent quite a bit of time trying to nap, and finally I napped/passed out in my buggy after a long hike (Daddy was tired on Friday).

I LOVED the lake. I played, played, and played some more at the beach! We visited Jason and his family at their cabin on Friday evening, where I found "a really nice chair," then I proceeded to eat a whole container of blackberries, and run along the dock.

What a fun last minute trip!!!

I chased my Daddy around a really big Ponderosa Tree in our campground!

This picture really depicts how dirty I can get camping.

Did I mention I passed out in my buggy?

I got a lot of play time inside my camper.
I thought I would go ahead and taste my creation.
Not so good, but this didn't stop me from taking another bite---after awhile Mommy said I needed to be all done cause I just couldn't stop eating that play dough!
Here I am listening to some good music, feeding my baby and relaxing in my camper.

Cousins

When I saw this picture of Sage...

it really reminded me of this picture of Maggie...

It's a good thing I have a baby niece to remind me of my little baby who is about to turn 2 years old here very soon.

Love you girls!
