So for the next post I'll update everyone on what Dr. Ally and I discussed when she called tonight (we've made some plans concerning Maggie's allergies, but I don't feel like discussing it right now). I also plan to share with everyone some pictures of Maggie's best yoga poses (boat and dead bug).

As I mentioned in yesterday's blog post, we spent yesterday afternoon doing some urban hiking in the Linen District to shop and get some coffee. The Linen District is very close to our house, and has a great coffee shop, and some great stores. It was a lot of fun and Maggie had a great time. She loves people watching--she was enthralled by all the people in the coffee house, and watched one woman drink her coffee and eat her lunch most of the time. This was Maggie's first "sit down" somewhere for food/drink. We were very pleased how well she did. Restaurants, here we come! Except Daddy's going to be the only one eating of course, I still have to carry rice milk with me just to get a latte!

Maggie just wanted to thank everyone for all the gifts and loves yesterday. She had a wonderful day! She was very, very tired when we got home though. Today we spent the afternoon in the Linen District, an up and coming part of downtown with stores, coffee houses etc. I'll post those pictures tomorrow.

Again, thanks! Maggie's loving her new toys, and can't wait to wear her new wardrobe.

Five Months Old Now!

She's five months old, as of yesterday. Yesterday Uncle Brad gave her a bottle for the first time! She also spent a lot of her day with Grandma Monica while Mommy was holiday shopping and cleaning the house, and a few hours in the evening with Grandma Tara while Mommy, Daddy, Uncle Brad and Aunt Sara went out to watch the Poinsettia Bowl.

I think she brightened everyone's day on her five month birthday with lots of smiles and coos all around!

Ahhh, she's sooo cute, I can barely stand not kissing her for 5 seconds!

Yes, we are letting her tushie get some air to help with the diaper rash

Boston's definitely going to be her motivation to roll to her stomach!

So in addition to Maggie's food allergies, and all the symptoms that result from that, she also has a cold with an ear infection that has left her with a very congested nose, a low grade fever, and a horrible diaper rash. The diaper rash is of course due to the antibiotics we went ahead and started on Saturday. I know, just when you thought my child couldn't possibly have something else go wrong, somehow something else magically goes wrong!

The reason she's the BEST baby EVER, is because she's amazingly still a happy girl. She gets a little sad when her bottom is getting wiped, but doesn't even cry when I flush her nose with saline then grab the bulb syringe. She's so sweet--it makes it kind of hard on me to watch her be so laid back about her current rough health patch. I keep remembering her first doctor's appointment, when she was just a few days old, and Dr. Ally said, "She's perfect. There is absolutely nothing wrong, no jaundice, no feeding challenges...nothing!"

I think we might be making up for that now.

Developmental Update: She's saying "boo" fairly clearly in imitation occasionally, she's sooo close to rolling from back to stomach (especially if Boston's near by and in reaching distance), and she's putting herself to sleep for naps and bedtime, when she wakes up in the middle of the night occasionally she needs more help.

Oops, I forgot one.

A few of my favorite things...

Here are a few of my favorite things, for the time being anyways.

Daddy and my new oatmeal canister. I can actually hold my oatmeal canister in one hand, swing it down to my feet, then kick it.

My homemade shakers that Mommy made me. This one is filled with tissue paper and rice!

My feet! I just found them a few weeks ago, and they are great!
