Mastering the Muffin

Our very favorite muffin, ever, is the lemon blueberry muffin from Big City Coffee/Bakery in Boise. 

We've been perfecting our own recipe (soy/dairy free of course). 

I think we got very, very close to perfection today...

Getting Married

Magnolia has always loved going through the photo album of her first 6 months of life. She knows all the details of each picture---even those pictures of Mommy's big, round belly before she was born. A few months ago as she sat next to the bookshelf examining her album she noticed Zac and I's wedding album. She asked to look at it, so we did---going through each picture, talking about who was there, where it was, how we celebrated. And well, you know it doesn't take much to shift a child's interest to something new...

Half of her day is now spent performing the Nutcracker ballet, and the other half is spent planning and having her wedding(s).

At first she was so excited she just wanted to marry everyone! The idea of loving someone so much that you want to be with them forever, and then you celebrate it, with cake, in a barn (because everyone must get married in a barn, right?)! 

Her list of potential spouses included many different family members and friends...the people she loves of course. Topping her list was her daddy. She woke up Wednesday morning so happy Daddy was still home because they were going to have a wedding! After the disappointment that Daddy had to leave for work, she settled on brother.

Oh Miss Magnolia, I promise I don't post all these details about your childhood to embarrass you with some day. It truly inspires me to watch the pure and simple way you see the world...I love you.

Special Note: Magnolia finally got to marry Daddy as well, they had a beautiful ceremony before bath time yesterday, sorry no pictures.
