The Dancing Queen

Here are her first dance moves! I couldn't believe it when she started boppin' her head and bouncing to the musical card Zac got me for Mother's Day. She's soooo smart!

WARNING: I sing a little tiny bit in the video.

Weekend of Baby Showers

We had two baby showers this weekend. Well, I guess I had two, and Zac and Maggie had one. The first was for Zac's cousin Carrie who is expecting a baby boy next month. It was a great shower that included all family members, sort of a big friend's and family picnic. On Sunday I attended the baby shower of our good friend Jesikah, wife of Johnny, who is one of Zac's best childhood friends. Jesikah and Johnny are also expecting a baby boy. He's due in August. So, all these baby showers got me thinking. It wasn't that long ago that I was at my own baby shower. Now my baby's almost a year old. Where does the time go? It definitely goes by way too fast. I'm starting to get a little sad. I kept telling myself over this last year to make sure and take it all in---to cherish every cute, cuddly, baby moment. Now I wonder, do I remember every little milestone, every cute moment? Goodness, I hope so. Someone was talking the other day about how they've scrap booked all their baby moments. I used to scrapbook, but don't anymore. I thought to myself that maybe Maggie's blog is like my virtual scrapbook--all my baby moments written out with photo documentation. This makes me feel a little better! Now I've got to check the baby book and see how far behind I am before I have to start adding the details of her first birthday!

Here's some pictures of Maggie and Cousin Issac at Carrie's baby shower. They sure do enjoy playing with each other!

A Maggie Random

I had been thinking I needed to update the look of Maggie's blog to fit the season, so I thought I might as well do a post too. I just picked something random that demonstrated how cute she is.

Enjoy.

Room 156 Picnic

Maggie checking out her friends when we first got there.

Maggie with one of her very favorite people--Chris.

Maggie, Riley, Aubrey and Chelsie.

Maggie and her friend Ian.

Maggie finally decided to crawl down and play with Riley.

Today we had Maggie's class picnic in the park. She seemed very excited to see all her friends outside of school. Of course she's always excited to see Chris, so she had to go to her for some loves. Aunt Sara and Uncle Brad also joined us. We had lots of fun.

More Moscow

Maggie discovered her new best friend in the mirror at the hotel.

Daddio and Mags chillin at East City Park during Ren Fair.

This little boy was telling Maggie all about the dragon.

Maggie decided to pass out right before Auntie Hailey stopped by the park for a visit.

Here's Maggie flashing the camera during a diaper change at Mikey's in Moscow!

Magnolia Goes to Moscow.

Maggie playing drums from around the world in the music tent at the Renaissance Fair.

Maggie made her first official trip to Moscow. She's such a wonderful baby. She did great on the five hour drive. Of course we had to make a few extra stops, but she was smiling the whole time!

She seemed to love Moscow as much as Mommy and Daddy do, or maybe she just noticed how excited and giddy Mommy and Daddy are in Moscow. We sure do miss and dream about moving back. We joked that maybe when Maggie goes to U of I we could move back---we don't want her to officially despise us though.

So we did everything we love to do---the coop, the market, Ren Fair, Mikey's for some great Greek food, the Natural Abode for some all natural toys. It was fabulous. We didn't make it to campus, so we'll be doing that on our next visit. Of course since we have a baby now we weren't able to hit up the Alley for a beer. Although Zac did joke about stashing Maggie in the bushes like he did his jacket in college...oh daddio, so silly!

We took a ton of pictures and videos of the weekend. I posted an album of the trip on facebook if you want to check those out. My computer's a little boggled with all this uploading so I'll do another post of the trip with more pictures soon!
