December 1, 2010

  • Maggie and I get out to the snow covered car, clear off all the snow, just to realize that her car seat is in Sara's car.
  • Maggie and I enjoy a nice breakfast, and some playtime in the snow while we wait for Sara to bring over her car seat.
  • I finally get to Maggie's school to drop her off.
  • I get to work, sit down and start working, then get a call that BSU has closed and the Children's Center is now closing as well.
  • I leave work and head right back to Maggie's school to pick her up.
  • I get to Maggie's school, walk in, and she says "I going out to dinner with you now." (FYI-every meal is "dinner"---she meant lunch though)
  • Maggie and I grab some lunch, and enjoy a nice "Mommy/Daughter date"
  • Maggie and I head home and it takes about two hours to get her to nap---I'm SO tired from all the driving around in the snow, and incubating of this little peanut, that I fall asleep too
  • We wake up at 5:30pm!!!! OH NO!
  • We eat dinner, and in the words of Maggie "play, play, play alllll night."
  • We put Maggie to bed, and tell her that she needs to stay in her big bed-----SHE STAYS IN HER BIG BED UNTIL SHE FALLS ASLEEP, DOESN'T GET UP ONCE, WELL WITHOUT CALLING US FIRST. SHE DID HAVE TO GO POTTY AGAIN, BUT STILL...HUGE PROGRESS!
HAPPY SNOW DAY!

Working and being expecting especially full-time!! No a walk in the park when it is a snow day. Hat's off to you that you can pull it off and still have the effort to play with little Maggie!!

It's getting much easier now Omah. The first trimester was rough though. I remember when I was pregnant with Maggie I would work all day, and then get home and fall asleep instantly on the couch---you can't do that with a toddler though! Luckily she's so fun to play with I kind of forget how exhausted I am, until she falls asleep---then I crash too! It doesn't help that we've been sick either---we still have this bad cough:(
