The Pink Party

Magnolia asked to celebrate her third birthday with a PINK party!!
We had pink flowers everywhere, pink crowns to decorate with pink stickers, and favors for friends with delicious pink cookies (made with love by Grandma Crist) and silk scarves for dyeing!

Magnolia and Cousin Issac with their newly dyed silk scarves!
They both chose to dye them red, and opted to use them as capes as soon as they were dry!

Dyeing silk scarves in Kool-Aid! This was an idea I got from Caitlyn (Isabelle's Mama).
It was so fun, and they turned out great!

Some water play! Of course.

Hmmm, what did Grandma and Papa bring me??

The yummies!!!
We went all PINK (well all pink, with some red too)!
Delicious pink cupcakes (I went ahead and decorated some for the big people), pink fruit salad, pink drinks (strawberry lemonade, strawberry milk, and cran-raspberry sparkling water), and those yummy chicken kabobs!

Last night we lit the candles in Magnolia's birthday ring celebrating her birthday. Sara and I had wanted to include this little tradition into our children's birthday celebrations, and we finally started to do so at Sage's first birthday. We are taking a more non-traditional approach to using the ring, and adding a special ornament each year representing something significant over the last year. This year we added a moon and a pink flower to the ring, and her number three!

Happy Birthday Miss Magnolia!
We LOVE YOU SO!
