Best Big Sister Ever

Maggie now tells me that I have a big sister...

What she really means, is that her role as a sister is now her most important role. I don't have a little girl, or a big girl for that matter, my daughter is simply, a big sister.

With the arrival of her little brother Magnolia has grown a lot over the last year. 

She has been so excited about her brother's first birthday we've let her big imagination work it's way to reality. We put together a crown party, we've made special birthday cookies (some shaped as crowns), we've hung lots of decorations, we've sung "Happy Birthday to You..." over and over again, and so much more.

Thank you Magnolia, for making this important celebration just perfect!

By the end of the day my table always ends up looking just like the above picture. Magnolia has been extra busy with creations lately. Lots and lots of writing, drawing, gluing, cutting, and more.

I absolutely love it.

Maggie's best pal is 4 today. Birthdays are kind of a big deal at our house so we couldn't let Isabelle's pass without some special attention...

Of course Magnolia loves her baby dolls, but the other love of her life...her nutcracker. 

Her carrying this nutcracker around all day...dancing with it...
Well, let's just say it's one of those memories I want to keep forever.
